Automated Batch Retort Systems - Robotic Basket Loading & Unloading
Animation of a 10-retort Automated Batch Retort System (ABRS) with cooling water recovery and vent steam heat recapture. This installation is the first to utilize robots for sweep-type retort basket loading and unloading, combined with robotic pick-and-place layer pad insertion and removal. The dual-mode retorts in this setup are capable of processing both rigid steel cans using saturated steam and fragile or semi-rigid containers with overpressure water spray processing. Allpax's ABRS is a fully automated, integrated batch sterilization system that includes package loading and unloading equipment, multiple batch retorts, and a control system for seamless communication across all components. This level of automation allows for continuous product flow, typically requiring only one or two operators for supervision. Each piece of Allpax ABRS equipment is tested at production speed before shipment to ensure a smooth and efficient startup. Customers are encouraged to attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) to verify system performance.
